How to get to the venue

The Catholic University is located in the city centre of Milan and can be reached via several options offered by the public transport service ATM (see https://www.atm.it/en).

Subway: Catholic University is located next to the subway station "Sant'Ambrogio" and the railway station Milano Cadorna, at a few minutes walk by them. The station Sant'Ambrogio is served by the lines M2 and M4; the station Milano Cadorna is served by the lines M1 and M2. Tram: It is possible to reach the university via the characteristic vintage Milan public tram. The closest station to the university is the "Corso Magenta-Via Nirone" station, served by the tram lines 16 (connected to San Siro stadium) and 19 (connected to Milano Lambrate railway station). 

Bike sharing: The university building can be reached via bycicles provided by the city with the bike sharing service BikeMi (see https://bikemi.com/en). Parkings for these specific bikes are located in front of San Francesco building and next to Sant'Ambrogio Church.

  

How to get to Milan

Airports: Milan is served by three major airports.

Malpensa Airport, located about 49 kilometers from the city, is the primary international airport, offering direct flights from numerous global destinations (see https://www.milanomalpensa-airport.com/en for details). The airport is connected to the main railway stations of Milan (Milano Centrale, Milano Porta Garibaldi, Milano Cadorna) by the special train "Malpensa Express", cost 15 EUR (see https://www.malpensaexpress.it/en/) and by several bus services (see https://www.milanomalpensa-airport.com/en/from-to/by-bus).

Linate Airport, closer to the city center, handles mostly domestic and short-haul European flights, making it a convenient option for nearby connections (see https://www.milanolinate-airport.com/en). The airport is connected to the city by the subway  Station "Linate Aeroporto": the subway line M4 is directly connected to the Station "Sant'Ambrogio", next to Catholic University.

Milan Bergamo "Il Caravaggio" Airport, next to the city of Bergamo, about 55 kilometers from Milan, is the main option for low cost flights (see https://www.milanbergamoairport.it/en). It is connected to Milan by bus services arriving at the railway station Milano Centrale (see https://www.milanbergamoairport.it/en). 

 

Trains: These are the main railway stations of Milan.

Milano Centrale: connects to high-speed rail services, linking Milan to major cities such as Rome, Florence, and Venice, as well as international destinations like Paris and Zurich. The station is served by the subway Station "Milano Centrale": the subway line M2 is directly connected to the Station "Sant'Ambrogio", next to Catholic University, and to Milano Cadorna railway station.

Milano Cadorna: this railway station serves the western part of Lombardy and Northern Italy, and has railway connections with Switzerland. It is located very close to Catholic University, at 10 minutes distance by walking. It is served by subway lines M1 and M2.

Milano Porta Garibaldi: some high-speed rail services stop and start from this station, including some connections with France. The station is served by the subway Station "Milano Porta Garibaldi": the subway line M2 is directly connected to the Station "Sant'Ambrogio", next to Catholic University, and to railway stations Milano Centrale/Milano Cadorna.
